Farm or factory? Polyhouse farming is a booming business in peri-urban Bengaluru. Demand for flowers from the city as well as for export has triggered a poly house revolution, riding on intensive use of water and agrochemicals. This poly house constructed on 25 acres of an erstwhile farmland now employ 120 labourers, including many from other states.
